Mini Symposium “Bias in Decision Making”

On February 13, the NeurotechEU - iBehave mini-symposium took place. The symposium was organised to provide an exclusive opportunity to learn from leading scientists in the field about the latest views on implicit bias and what could be done to improve decision-making.

Two leading social psychologists explained about their current research, actual experimental data, and views on ‘implicit bias’ and how biases in groups influence our decision-making.

This was an opportunity to look at the science behind what’s commonly referred to as ‘implicit or unconscious bias’ with the aim of learning and thinking about new approaches to avoid harmful bias in workplaces and universities.

The talks were followed by an interesting roundtable discussion.
