The NeurotechEU Summit and the end of the DCBT Summer School 2022 in Nijmegen, the Netherlands

The DCBT Summer School has come to an end after two great weeks. The first week was completed with a poster session which included one-minute pitches of each participant. After some well-deserved rest during the weekend, the second week was all about Brain Networks in Health and Disease: the future of neurotechnologies.

During this second week, additionally, to various inspiring lectures, all students participated in a project, ranging from EEG analysis to spike sorting. The project work and summer school were concluded with exciting presentations, and rewards were handed out for this year’s best projects.

Besides all this hard work, there was also time for several social activities, such as a farewell dinner, a competitive volleyball tournament, and not to forget the famous DCBT-vision song festival.

In addition to the events within the summer school, NeurotechEU organized a summit on 12 and 13 September to develop a roadmap to underpin phase two of our NeurotechEU project. During these two days, domain experts in the eight dimensions of Neurotechnology of all partners of the NeurotechEU consortium and invited external experts were gathered to discuss each dimension.

The DCBT summer school and the NeurotechEU summit were great successes and provided us with new insights into the future of neurotechnology!
