NeurotechEU Lecture Series: Exploring Artificial Intelligence and the Ethics of AI, Reykjavík University
Anna Sigríður Islind (Department of Computer Science) and Gunnar Þór Pétursson (Chair, Department of Law), both professors at Reykjavík University, present a NeurotechEU lecture exploring artificial intelligence and the ethics of AI.
The lecture examines the growing role of AI in society and the ethical, legal, and socio-technical challenges that accompany its rapid development of AI in society in general and neurotechnology in particular. Particular emphasis is placed on questions of transparency, accountability, privacy, bias, and the relationship between technological innovation and human values. Drawing on perspectives from both computer science and law, the lecture highlights the importance of transdisciplinary collaboration in shaping responsible and trustworthy AI systems for the future.
