New on Campus+: Courses in Brain Recovery and Clinical Research

Campus+ Learning Platform is excited to announce two new expert-led courses developed in collaboration with the Doctoral School of Neuroscience, “Iuliu Hațieganu” University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Cluj-Napoca. Both courses are designed for clinicians, researchers, and students eager to expand their knowledge in neuroscience and evidence-based medicine.

Course 1. Brain Recovery: Understanding Mechanisms and Therapeutic Strategies for Stroke and TBI Rehabilitation

Go to the course

BrainHow does the brain repair itself after injury? This course, led by Prof. Dr Dafin Fior Mureșanu, takes participants on a journey through the biological mechanisms and therapeutic strategies that promote recovery after stroke and traumatic brain injury (TBI).

Participants will explore endogenous neuroprotection, neuroplasticity, and multimodal pharmacological interventions, as well as key findings from the CARS and CAPTAIN trials. The course also introduces the EAN–EFNR guideline for early motor neurorehabilitation after ischaemic stroke — connecting research insights to clinical practice.

Key takeaways:
  • Understand mechanisms of recovery after stroke and TBI
  • Explore neuroprotection, neuroplasticity, and pharmacological strategies
  • Learn from landmark trials and evidence-based guidelines

Course 2. Statistical Reasoning in Clinical Research: From Hypothesis Testing to Evidence-Based Practice

Go to the course

ResearchLed by Prof. Johannes Vester, this course demystifies the statistical foundations of clinical research. Starting with hypothesis testing and P-values, it moves into effect sizes, confidence intervals, and meta-analyses, showing how these tools underpin modern evidence-based medicine.

The course also highlights quality assurance and risk-based monitoring, offering practical insight into why trials fail — and how robust design prevents it.

Key takeaways:
  • Master hypothesis testing and statistical reasoning
  • Interpret effect sizes, confidence intervals, and meta-analyses
  • Understand quality assurance and regulatory standards
