NeurotechEU at EAIE 2025: Shaping the Future of Higher Education
From 9 to 12 September 2025, NeurotechEU participated in the 35th Annual EAIE Conference and Exhibition in Gothenburg, Sweden. Under the theme 'GO-create', the event gathered over 7,000 participants with more than 1,000 organisations from across Europe and beyond. For the first time, NeurotechEU was officially present with its own booth, shared with two other European University Alliances, fostering co-creation, exchange of best practices, and new collaborations
Strengthening NeurotechEU’s Institutional Presence at EAIE 2025
NeurotechEU’s participation in the 35th Annual EAIE Conference and Exhibition marked a strategic milestone in positioning the alliance as a leading expert network in the field of neurotechnologies. With its first official presence, the alliance enhanced its international visibility and strengthened its recognition within academic, scientific, and institutional communities across Europe and beyond.
The booth, located alongside other European University Alliances, created a valuable opportunity to engage with peers and similar initiatives, exchange experiences, and gain a comprehensive overview of the European higher education ecosystem. This setting fostered the sharing of best practices, the development of synergies, and the promotion of collaboration in the organisation of large-scale events at both European and international levels.
The EAIE is a multifaceted event, offering value to a wide range of profiles, from exchanging best practices with peers, to enhancing skills through workshops and conferences, as well as fostering both professional and personal development.

Conferences, Workshops and Networking for Professional Growth
NeurotechEU members actively participated in a wide range of sessions at EAIE 2025, including conferences, workshops, poster sessions, and networking events, taking advantage of opportunities to gather practical insights and innovative approaches to integrate directly into the alliance or at members’ home universities. The program addressed key topics in European-funded programmes, including budgetary challenges, governance changes, and strategic priorities such as inclusion, digitalisation, and STEM, while also exploring solutions for global challenges in higher education. Through these activities, the NeurotechEU community was able to collect a wealth of best practices, foster professional growth, and strengthen networks, translating insights gained at EAIE into actionable strategies for their universities and the alliance as a whole.
