MBG Seminar 2026 with Dr. Sergio Castro-Gomez
The seminar will feature Dr. Sergio Castro-Gomez from the University of Bonn, who will give a talk titled: Targeting inflammasomes to treat acute and chronic neurodegeneration.
Dr. Castro-Gomez has worked in general medicine, neurology, and basic neuroscience, with a particular focus on the molecular mechanisms of learning and memory, neurodegenerative diseases, and neuroinflammation. He is currently a Neurology Physician-Scientist at the University Hospital Bonn, as well as a researcher, graduate lecturer, and Junior Research Group Leader at the Center for Neurology and the Institute of Physiology II at the University of Bonn, Germany.
This seminar offers an excellent opportunity to explore current research perspectives on neurodegeneration and neuroinflammation, through the work of a speaker whose profile connects clinical practice with cutting-edge neuroscience.
