Campus +: The empirical and clinical neuroscience dimension

The European University of Brain and Technology –NeurotechEU; has gathered to sort out the different aspects that build what is known as Neurotechnology. NeurotechEU has understood Empirical and Clinical Neuroscience as one of its dimensions.

However, knowledge is only useful if it’s shared and improved, that’s why the NeurotechEU platform Campus + collects different courses on the empirical and clinical neuroscience. This dimension relies on the continuous advancements in neuroscience technologies, leading to an exponential increase in data generation. You can read more about it on Campus +.

Courses regarding the Empirical and Clinical Neurotechnology dimension:

Cognitive Science & Psychology: Mind, Brain, and Behavior:

  • Including 10 lessons, this is an advanced course about history of cognitive science, the impact of artificial intelligence and neural network development, the existing paradigms in cognitive science, the discusses associated to different challenges, and the philosophical and methodological challenges in investigating the mind, brain, and behavior.

Current Methods in Neurotechnology:

  • This 8 lessons course is an introduction on trends in modern techniques and methods applied in neuroscience such as: visualizing extracellular neurotransmitter dynamics, in vivo optogenetics, analysis of phase separation at the synapse, among others.

The chick embryo as animal model: history, researchers, advantages:

  • Designed for master’s and PhD students, this course gives the participants the historical development of the chick embryo as a scientific model, one of the most enduring and versatile models in developmental and biomedical research.

Introduction to Pruritus: definition, evolution, clinical relevance, and neural circuits:

  • This advanced course provides an in-depth exploration of the biology and neuroscience of pruritus. master’s and doctoral students in biomedical, neuroscience, or clinical disciplines will gain a comprehensive understanding of the clinical impact of chronic pruritus, its comorbidities, and emerging therapeutic strategies.

Memory-guided behavior: an overview:

  • Aimed at undergraduate, master’s, and postdoctoral students, this course provides a broad introduction to how memory supports and shapes behavior. Participants will be able to answer how the memory is formed or how disruptions in specific brain areas or their connectivity can alter memory and, consequently, behavior.

What is Campus+?

The NeurotechEU platform, Campus+ serves as a dynamic repository of teaching content, offering a collection of courses from all NeurotechEU partner institutions. With contributions from eight universities, the platform ensures that learners gain access to cutting-edge content across diverse fields of neurotechnology. It also acts as a mentorship hub, connecting students with experts in their disciplines, facilitating knowledge transfer, and nurturing innovation.
